
Disgruntled Employees Association (Explicit)
Hiway continues where Roadside left off and ups the ante with “Disgruntled Employees' Association ". This time around, we are in full on story mode. The listener starts out with the protagonist, Aaron Kaplan, who has been stuck at a dead end job, dreaming of moving on and making a living off his passion for music, while also juggling time for his family. In his increasing angst his subconscious creates two alter egos: Hiway (the outspoken and competitive performer) and WayHi (the extreme, brash and crude instigator). The introverted Aaron is talked to by these alter egos in the form of songs, both of whom have their own respective points of view and influence. Aaron is guided through a tour of his own existence, and also of the world from which it is comprised. Along the way, Aaron is manipulated by his alter egos, who call themselves the Disgruntled Employees' Association. A plan is devised to get revenge on Aaron's oppressors, leading up to ...
